Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a part-time Certified Medication Technician at South Idaho Correctional Institution in Kuna, ID. The CMT assists nurses, administers medications, records dosages and times, and monitors patient conditions under supervision.

Responsibilities include vital signs, examinations support, and daily living assistance, with a 6am-2:30pm shift and potential for a flexible schedule. A Medical Aide certification and CPR/AED are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Aide certification (or ability to obtain) with approval for medication administration required.
• Current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification required.
• Must pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Role Summary

We are currently seeking a part-time Certified Medication Technician to join our team at South Idaho Correctional Institution located in South Boise/Kuna, Idaho.

The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff and is responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. The CMT takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living. The CMT must monitor patients to report changes in their conditions.
