The Village at Rockville – A National Lutheran Community, is looking for compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you’ll ensure residents receive their medications accurately and on time while providing the compassionate care that defines our community. Your attention to detail and caring touch will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Overview:

As a Certified Medication Aide on our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive the right medications at the right time, with a caring touch. This position requires a perfect blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and genuine compassion for those in your care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to patients with care and precision, following prescribed orders
  • Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions or medication reactions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medication administration records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members about medications and care
  • Assist in monitoring medication inventory
  • Provide compassionate support to patients during medication administration
  • Ensure compliance with medication safety protocols and regulations
  • Participate in care planning meetings, offering insights on medication-related matters
  • Assist with patient education regarding medications, demonstrating empathy and patience
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Current Certified Medication Aide certification in good standing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a CMA, preferably in a similar healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration techniques and safety protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Genuine compassion and patience when interacting with patients
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems
  • A warm, caring approach that puts patients at ease during medication administration
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of medication management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with individuals
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced or stressful situations
  • Commitment to ongoing learning about medications and best practices in patient care

Job Type: Full-time | Day Shift

Salary range: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour, with final offer reflecting the candidate's demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and professional background.
