Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours continuing education required; maintain certifications.
• CNA certification required/ maintained where applicable; Minnesota requires 75-hour course and MN registry; CMA/TMA certification may be required for CMA/ TMA roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance as prescribed.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Communicate changing conditions and concerns to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Assist with meals, snacks, and dining to create a positive dining experience.
• Support wellness programs and participate in relevant activities and committees as needed.
