Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will apply medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, help with bathing, grooming, dining, and vital signs, and support residents’ physical and psychosocial needs according to the plan of care.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, CMA/CNA certification per state requirements, and prior long-term

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Requires CMA/CNA certification per state requirements; CMA/CNA certification must be maintained.
• Active certified nursing assistant registration in state of practice, or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsabilidades

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Communicate changes in condition or care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
