Job summary

Mitchell Care & Rehab in Oklahoma is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for weekend shifts. Two 16-hour shifts qualify for full-time benefits with a starting wage of $19 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The role includes comprehensive benefits, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan.

You will administer medications under nurse supervision and ensure resident safety. Ideal candidates have CMA certification in Oklahoma, at least six months in long-term care, and strong English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• CMA certification in Oklahoma required.
• Must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as ordered by a physician under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Performs resident care responsibilities ensuring safety and comfort.
• Records medication administration in the chart and computer system.
• Notifies licensed staff of resident pain or changes in condition.
• Records vital signs as required and monitors medications’ effects.
• Responds to resident call lights and assists with rounds.
• Performs duties to minimize health care errors and maintain safety.
