Job summary

Tamarack Retirement Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility and dining support. You will administer medications under licensed nurse supervision and document accurately, while monitoring residents for health changes.

Eligible candidates hold Oklahoma CNA certification, a current CPR/BLS, and a valid Food Handler permit. The role requires adherence to safety and care standards and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurses Aide in Oklahoma required.
• Current CPR or BLS required (can be obtained during orientation).
• Certified Medication Aide required.
• Obtain a Food Handler’s Permit offered by the Jackson County Health Department.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including grooming, bathing, hygiene and mobility needs.
• Administer medications under supervision of a licensed nurse and maintain documentation.
• Observe and report changes in health, cognitive status or mood to the Resident Services Coordinator.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with dining services as needed.
• Support resident-centered activities and assist in training new staff.
