Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer medications and treatments to residents with careful documentation on MARs and charts. You must work within your scope of practice and call for management assistance if unsure of a decision or occurrence.

The role requires current CMA certification, CPR certification, and on-the-job training. High school completion is preferred, with familiarity working with the elderly population and a willingness to assist with daily resident

Qualifications

• Administers medications and treatments according to schedule and protocol.
• Documents on medication records and resident charts accurately.
• Maintains safety and within scope of practice; requests management assistance when unsure.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per schedule.
• Documents accurately in 24-hour reports and resident records.
• Monitors resident alert status and updates interim care plans as needed.
• Assists with medication records, re-orders, and returns for credit when applicable.
• Ensures medication room and cart are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Assists with Vital signs, weights, and basic care tasks as directed.
