PruittHealth in Maryland is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist residents with medications ordered by licensed providers and per care plans. You will coordinate with pharmacies, providers and families to ensure safe, accurate medication management and timely refills.

The role requires knowledge of medication administration, MAR accuracy, infection control, and compliance with state/federal rules. On-the-job training provided; prior LTC experience preferred.

Competenze

• High school education or equivalent; on-the-job training provided.
• Knowledge of medication policies, rules, and documentation requirements.
• Understanding of MAR and physician orders; ability to ensure accuracy.

Mansioni

• Assist residents with medications as ordered by licensed providers and per care plans.
• Transcribe orders to MAR and correct entries per physician instructions.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration and infection control practices.
• Communicate with pharmacy, physicians, and family regarding medications and changes.
• Monitor stock and coordinate timely refills and procurement of meds.
• Document medication administration and any refusals or changes promptly.
• Report medication errors per policy and maintain resident safety.
• Assist with direct care partner duties and provide shift-change handoffs.
