Job summary

PruittHealth in Marietta, GA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (Part Time) to assist residents with medications ordered by licensed health care providers and per individualized care plans.

You will read and follow orders, maintain MAR accuracy, ensure proper storage and disposal, monitor for adverse reactions, and document every administration while communicating with pharmacy, providers, and families.

Qualifications

• Some high school education required.
• On-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with long term care or assisted living population preferred.
• Previous medication tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications ordered by licensed providers per individualized care plans.
• Read, follow, and transcribe medication orders to the MAR with accuracy.
• Maintain proper med storage, disposal, and infection control per policy.
• Communicate with residents’ pharmacy, healthcare provider and family regarding medications.
• Document medication administration and resident refusals accurately and timely.
• Monitor for side effects, adverse reactions, and report changes per policy.
