Job summary

PruittHealth in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for a part-time role to assist residents with medications ordered by licensed health care providers and per each resident’s care plan.

You will read and follow medication orders, maintain MAR accuracy, and adhere to the Six Rights of Medication Administration while documenting care and communicating with pharmacy, physicians, and families to support resident safety.

Qualifications

• Some high school is required; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior medication tech experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Read and follow medication orders and MAR; correct as physician orders require.
• Document assistance/administration and resident refusals per policy.
• Communicate with pharmacy, healthcare providers and family regarding medication management.
• Monitor medication storage, disposal, and infection control practices.
• Identify concerns with orders or resident reactions and take appropriate action.
