Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for a full-time night shift (7p-7a) to support residents with medications and align with individualized care plans. You will read orders, administer meds as allowed, document accurately, and communicate with pharmacies, providers, and families to ensure safe medication management.

In this role you will follow the Six Rights, monitor for side effects, and report any changes promptly. On-the-job training is provided for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Some high school education is acceptable.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting residents with medications ordered by licensed health care providers and as established in each resident's individualized care plan.
• May provide medication reminders, assistance with self-administration of medications and administration of medications as allowed by state and federal laws and applicable rules.
• Key communicator with the resident’s pharmacy, healthcare provider and family regarding medication management.
• Follows the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Accurately documents assistance/administration and resident refusal of medications according to policy and professional standards.
• Monitors resident’s medication quantities and related supplies and makes arrangements for timely procurement of refills.
