Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a Certified Medication Aide to accurately prepare, administer, store, and document meds for residents in accordance with all laws and Life Care standards.

The role requires completion of state CNA programs, active Texas CNA license, and Certified Medication Aide training, with CPR certification either on hire or during orientation. Prior geriatric experience is preferred and professionalism is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a State approved CNA program.
• Active Texas CNA license in good standing.
• Completed State approved Certified Medication Aide program.
• CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, store, and document medications per orders.
• Report medication errors immediately and take corrective action.
• Chart accurately in a timely manner and maintain documentation.
• Perform CNA functions as directed by supervisor and cooperate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient rights, safety and sanitation; demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality.
• Assist in patient evacuation if needed and ensure dependable attendance.
