Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support admission and readmission processes with adherence to all laws and Life Care standards.

The role requires CNA program completion, CMA certification, active state licensure, CPR, and prior geriatric experience preferred. Expect to work in a post-acute care setting with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a State approved CNA program.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State.
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.
• Completed a State approved CMA program and exam.

Responsibilities

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Follow laws, regulations and Life Care policies and guidelines.
• Implement and interpret department programs, goals and procedures.
• Perform competencies in patient rights, safety and sanitation.
• Maintain professional relationships with associates and vendors.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Follow Life Care policies including Code of Conduct and compliance training.
• Prepare, administer, document medications accurately and safely.
• Report medication errors immediately.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Assist in patient evacuation and demonstrate dependable attendance.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
