Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for the Assisted Living sector in Stuart, FL. The role involves safe medication administration, basic nursing tasks, and assisting with ADLs and dining services for residents.

Responsibilities include inventory management, MAR reconciliation, and maintaining accurate medical records, with attention to regulatory guidelines. Training and a collaborative team environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ month of related experience; senior living preferred.
• Current Medication Technician certification, depending on state regulations.
• Must be able to communicate in English and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medications in compliance with Federal & State regulations and guidelines.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel; report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Order medications and treatments; notify responsible party when supply is low.
• Notify supervisor when supply is low and before stock runs out.
• Receive and verify medicines against pharmacy labels and MAR; report discrepancies.
• Store medications properly and separate from other products; maintain MAR accuracy.
• Date vials/bottles at opening and follow approved pharmacy timelines.
• Conduct weekly medication inspections and remove expired meds.
• Verify MARs during changeovers and report discrepancies.
• Remove discontinued meds from cart and hand to supervisor.
• Provide personal care including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, and feeding.
• Provide general nursing care: vitals, temperature, BP, and weights.
• Document in daily log and notify supervisor of concerns.
• Answer calls and assist residents with needs as assigned.
• Clean medicine carts daily and restock as needed; perform weekly deep cleaning.
