Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer medications, monitor resident health, and support a safe, compassionate care environment. This FT role offers 6a-2:30p and 2p-10:30p shifts with every other weekend and PRN hours.

The CMA will document medication administration and health observations, communicate updates to the nursing staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with the team to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training in healthcare or medication administration is a plus.
• Experience: Healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Certifications: CNA and CMA as required by Nebraska regulations.
• Communications: Strong verbal and written communication; collaborate with diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications per physician orders and facility protocol; document administration.
• Monitor residents' health, vital signs and adverse reactions; report changes to supervising nurse.
• Maintain clean, organized medication area and follow infection control procedures.
• Provide compassionate resident support and address needs while respecting preferences.
• Coordinate with nurses, doctors and families regarding care plans and medication changes.
• Complete documentation accurately, including MARs and health observations; ensure policy compliance.
