Job summary

Grand Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for our Cedar Rapids community. In this role you will provide compassionate care, administer medications, assist with daily living activities, and support residents to live life to the fullest in a First Class Happiness environment.

You will work with our Health & Wellness and Hospitality teams to create meaningful experiences, document care precisely, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or CMA credentials, as required by state
• One+ years of medication administration experience
• Experience providing assistance with activities of daily living
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including dressing, eating, grooming
• Support residents per care plans while promoting dignity and independence
• Administer medications safely within certification and scope
• Provide medication assistance per policies when licensed
• Observe residents and report changes to nursing team
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences
• Collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle and Hospitality teams
• Ensure accurate documentation for services provided or declined
• Deliver care that is professional, respectful, and timely
• Create an environment where every resident feels valued and cared for
