Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC seeks a qualified Medication Aide to provide direct resident care and supervise daily medication activities in a licensed assisted living setting. You will administer oral, topical, inhalation medications as ordered, document all related actions, and store meds securely.

Responsibilities include observing for adverse drug reactions, reporting to nursing staff, assisting with vital signs, glucose testing, and stocking the medication cart.

Qualifications

• Completion of Qualified Medication Aide program with current license.
• 18–24 months experience in a similar position.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required by state regulation.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, topical, inhalation medications as ordered by healthcare providers and per state regulations.
• Document all medication management activities per regulation and community protocols, including EMAR usage when available.
• Obtain, receive, and store medications from the pharmacy and keep them locked at all times.
• Observe residents for drug reactions and report issues to the nurse or attending physician.
• Perform tasks related to medication administration and vital signs, glucose testing, and stocking the med cart.
• Maintain orderly, clean medication storage areas and seek guidance as needed.
