Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered certification to practice as a Medication Aide in the state
• Must possess a current, unencumbered certification to practice as a nursing assistant in the state
• Long-Term Care experience preferred (2 years)
• Six months experience as a Certified Medication Aide preferred
• Strong computer literacy with Outlook, Office, Internet preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Document medication administration and other tasks per policies
• Maintain infection control practices
• Keep medication cart organized and secured
• Assist with resident care duties per plan of care and physician orders
• Coordinate with nursing services for continuity of care
• Support facility surveys and inspections as needed
