Georgetown Nursing and Transitional Care in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our skilled nursing team. You will accurately prepare, administer, and document medications while supporting residents with daily care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Active CMA certification in the state of Texas.
• State-Approved Medication Aide Training & Competency Program.
• In good standing on the state registry.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Universal Precautions and Bloodborne Pathogen standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications per state regulations and facility protocols.
• Take and record vital signs prior to medication administration, as needed.
• Observe and report any side effects or unusual reactions to the charge nurse.
• Document all medications in the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and safety protocols.
• Apply ophthalmic, OTIC, nasal, and vaginal medications as ordered.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility support.
• Support the charge nurse in keeping the medication room, nursing station, and supply areas clean and organized.
