Paradigm at Sweeny in Sweeny, TX is seeking a Full-Time Medication Aide to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will administer oral, nasal, eye, ear, vaginal, rectal, topical, and other medications following state and facility policies.

Documentation and timely medication delivery are essential, with strict infection control and cart security practices. Responsibilities include resident care tasks such as transferring, positioning, hygiene, and assisting

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active Medication Aide certification in the state.
• Must hold a current, active Nursing Assistant certification in the state.
• 2 years’ Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• 6 months as a Certified Medication Aide preferred.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with Outlook, Office, and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under a nurse's direction and administer medications per policy and regulations.
• Ensure timely medication administration and document delays with explanations.
• Document all medication administrations per organization procedures.
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, organized medication cart.
• Support resident care tasks such as transfers, positioning, hygiene, and nourishment.
• Deliver care per each resident’s plan of care under licensed supervision.
