Paradigm at Woodwind Lakes in Houston, TX is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our skilled nursing team. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will administer medications, document treatments, and support resident care according to policy.

Candidates must hold current TX CMA and Nursing Assistant certifications, with LT Care experience preferred; knowledge of Point Click Care is a plus. We offer health, dental, vision, PTO, life insurance, and a referral program.

Qualifications

• Must possess current, active Medication Aide certification in Texas.
• Must possess current, active Nursing Assistant certification in Texas.
• 2 years’ Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Six months CMA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
• Computer literacy: Outlook, MS Office, Internet; able to lead and stay professional.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications under nurse supervision in accordance with regulations and facility policy.
• Document medication administration and other tasks per policy.
• Maintain infection control practices and secure the medication cart.
• Assist with resident care activities as assigned by the charge nurse.
• Deliver care following the care plan and physician orders.
• Coordinate with nursing services to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in facility inspections as needed.
