Job summary

Homestead of Estherville is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, following nursing standards and community policies. You will work under supervision with the RCC/Nurse Supervisor and must maintain resident privacy and accurate documentation.

The role requires a valid CMA certification, basic computer skills, strong English communication, and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CMA certification in good standing with the State.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours including weekends/holidays.
• Must be able to assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by physician under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Document medication administration accurately and promptly.
• Follow policies on labeling, storage, and dating of medications.
• Report any resident abuse/neglect immediately.
• Assist residents with daily hygiene and activities as needed.
