Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will support vital signs, transfers, and activities while delivering compassionate care in a Christian environment.

You will document care and medications, assist with wellness programs, and maintain state-required CMA/CNA certifications as applicable. This role emphasizes teamwork and dedication to residents' well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing required by state.
• Successful completion of CMA/Trained Medication Assistant coursework as applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Record vital signs and document outcomes of care.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range of motion.
• Support dining, meals, and wellness activities for residents.
