Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision. You will administer prescribed medications, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the charge nurse while supporting mobility, bathing, grooming, and dining.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, prior long-term care experience preferred, and CMA/CNA certifications per state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must maintain required certifications and continuing education credits as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, meds, behavior, activity, and dietary outcomes and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, bathing, dressing, and range of motion as needed.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and assist with meals and dining.
