Job summary

Good Samaritan is a not-for-profit organization providing housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. The Medication Assistant (MA) assists with resident-centered care, daily living activities, and basic health care needs under supervision of a charge nurse.

The MA may administer medications as delegated and must document care outcomes, monitor vital signs, and support nutrition, mobility, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Documents outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, and dietary.
• Communicates changes in condition and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services and supports wellness and recreational programs.
