Job summary

Gallup Nursing and Rehabilitation in Gallup, NM seeks a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our long-term care team. Under the direct supervision of the charge nurse, you will help ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care. Requirements include current CMA certification, CNA certification, and ability to communicate effectively in English.

Previous patient care experience is preferred. We offer full-time employment with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in English.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide (CMA).
• CNA certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Maintain current CMA certification.
