Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Gallup, NM seeks a dedicated Certified Medication Aide to support the care team in a long-term care setting. You will work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to ensure timely and accurate med passes, maintaining the highest standard of resident care.

The role requires CNA certification and a current Medication Aide credential, with English communication skills and prior patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification.
• Current Medication Aide certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all meetings, trainings and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Maintain current Medication Aide certification.
