Job summary

The Certified Medication Aide at Life Care Centers of America delivers quality care to patients during admission and readmission in alignment with Life Care standards and all applicable laws. Responsibilities include preparing and documenting medications, supporting safety initiatives, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in a post-acute care setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CNA program, active state license, CMA program completion, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Graduate of a State approved CNA program.
Active license in good standing in the applicable state.
State approved CMA program and exam completion.
CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

Accurately and safely prepare, administer, store, and document medications as ordered.
Assist in developing procedures to assess medication errors and prevention.
Report medication errors immediately.
Ensure medication orders are written, signed, and dated by attending physician.
Document charting in a timely manner.
Perform CNA functions as directed by supervisor.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
Assist in evacuation of patients.
Maintain dependable attendance and professional conduct.
Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
