Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to support admissions and readmissions with safe medication administration and compassionate patient care in a post-acute setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a State approved CNA program.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State with an active license.
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; current during employment.
• Completed a State approved program and exam for Certified Medication Technician.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, store, and document medications as ordered by attending physician.
• Report medication errors immediately and prevent future occurrences.
• Chart in a timely manner and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Perform CNA functions as directed by supervisor.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Assist in evacuation of patients and maintain regular attendance.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
