Job summary

Sunset Villa Care Center in Roswell, NM seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work full-time, 6:00AM–2:00PM under the charge nurse. You will ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care and follow charting and documentation guidelines.

Qualifications include English communication skills, prior patient care preferred, and CMA certification. The role requires active participation in meetings and trainings and adherence to facility policies and equal employment

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Your Job Summary

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.
