Job summary

San Juan Care Center is seeking a CMA to work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The CMA will help ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include reporting changes in patient condition, following documentation guidelines, and assisting in meetings, trainings, and in-service activities. Certification as a Medication Aide is required to perform these duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
