Job summary

Gallup Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated CMA to join our long-term care team in Gallup, NM. The CMA works under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to ensure timely and accurate med passes, maintaining the highest quality resident care at all times.

The role requires current Medication Aide certification and a CNA certificate; English communication skills are essential. The CMA participates in trainings and meetings to support residents and the care team.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Your Job

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
