Job summary

Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our compassionate care team in Iowa. The role involves developing and following individual care plans, administering medications, and ensuring high-quality resident care with clear communication across staff and families.

The position supports a Friday–Sunday shift schedule (6:00am–6:00pm) and offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide certification for Iowa.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess the residents’ needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans.
• Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of CMA processes and guidelines.
• Identify and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians, staff, and family members.
• Administer medications, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated.
• Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition.
• Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority.
• Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC.
• Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchair.
