Job summary

Bethany Life is seeking a caring CMA to support residents with medication administration and direct care. The role requires active Iowa CNA and CMA certifications and at least 1 year in healthcare, with strong pharmacology terminology knowledge. Shifts include 3pm–11pm with a $2.50 shift differential and full- or part-time options.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine daily oral, inhalation, and topical medications to residents under supervision.
• Record medication administration according to policies and procedures.
• Follow written or verbal instructions on medication management.
• Perform medication-related tasks including vital signs, dose calculations, and stocking.
• Respond to resident requests and other direct care duties.

What you'll do as a CMA:

• Deliver routine daily oral, inhalation, and topical medications to residents under direct supervision of a licensed nurse, unless otherwise allowed by state
• Record medication administration according to company policies and procedure
• Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications
• Perform tasks associate with medication administration, including vital signs, medication dose calculations, stocking of medication carts, and removal of discontinued medications
• Respond to resident requests and other direct care duties

Shifts Available:

• Full-time and part-time, 3pm - 11pm. Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement
• $2.50/hour shift differential for hours worked between 3pm - 7am

What's required as a CMA:

• Active CNA certification in good standing with the state of Iowa
