Job summary

Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our compassionate team in the evenings on a PRN schedule. You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and administer medications in a safe, respectful manner.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).

• Encourage recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Provide health monitoringand conducting routine vital checks.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocolsto ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
• Valid certification as a Medication Aide. Medication Aide must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.

• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
