Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our compassionate care team across skilled nursing communities. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, monitoring health, and supporting residents with dignity daily.

Active CNA in Iowa or ability to activate CNA, plus Medication Aide certification in Iowa or ability to activate.

Qualifications

• Must maintain active CNA certification in Iowa or activate prior
• Must hold valid Medication Aide certification in Iowa or be able to activate

Responsibilities

• Assist daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating) and pass medications.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Monitor health and perform routine vital checks.
• Interact with residents, families, and healthcare team.
• Encourage resident recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure safety.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Provide health monitoringand conducting routine vital checks.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocolsto ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
• Valid certification as a Medication Aide. Medication Aide must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.

• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
