Job summary

Colonial Manor of Elma is seeking a Medication Aide to join our caring team and deliver medications to residents while assisting with daily living activities. You will help residents stay comfortable, observe health changes, and maintain a safe environment with accuracy and empathy.

Qualified candidates will have an Iowa CNA certificate, Iowa-approved Medication Aide training, CPR certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent; experience preferred, with opportunities for growth and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• Iowa-approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification.
• One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents and monitor effects.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe changes in residents' conditions and report promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document care.
• Provide education and support to residents and families as needed.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Colonial Manor of Elma by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
