Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center is seeking Certified Medication Aides for a part-time, PRN 3rd shift position. You will be the front line of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive their medications and personal care with diligence and compassion.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, Iowa CNA certificate, Iowa-approved Medication Aide training, CPR certification, and ideally one year of CNA and Medication Aide experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• Iowa-approved Medication Aide training and CPR certification.
• One year CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front line of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive the medications they need.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and provide education as needed.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
