Colonial Manor of Elma in Iowa is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our skilled nursing team. You will be the front line of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive their medications safely and on schedule while supporting daily living activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate required.
• Iowa-approved Medication Aide training completed.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications to residents accurately and on time.
• Assist with activities of daily living and daily care.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report findings.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document care.
• Support ongoing education and participate in team care.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Colonial Manor of Elma by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
