Job summary

Colonial Manor of Elma in Elma, Iowa is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our friendly skilled nursing team. You will administer medications, assist residents with daily living activities, monitor changes in condition, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Qualified applicants will hold a State of Iowa CNA certificate, completed CMA training, CPR certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent; previous CNA/Meds experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• An unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate.
• Successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• C.P.R. certification.
• One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and assist with Activities of Daily Living for residents.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to the care team.
• Maintain safety and provide a supportive, respectful environment.

Responsibilities

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by providing them with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

Qualifications

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• An unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate.
• Successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• C.P.R. certification.
