Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Hampton is seeking a PRN Medication Aide to join our caring team. You will be the front line of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive the medications they need and assisting with daily living activities.

This role requires a CNA certificate, Medication Aide training, and CPR certification. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and ideally 1 year of CNA and Medication Aide experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training completed.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Provide education and support to residents and families.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at The Rehabilitation Center of Hampton by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
