Job summary

Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center in Mason City, IA is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our team on a PRN 2nd shift. You will be responsible for providing medications and daily care, ensuring safety and comfort for residents, and supporting the clinical team with high-quality care.

Qualified applicants will hold an Iowa CNA certificate, complete the approved Medication Aide training, CPR certification, and have a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa CNA certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and CPR certification.
• One (1) year of CNA and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications for residents and monitor for changes in condition.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and daily care needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold high standards of care and documentation.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
