Job summary

Saint Therese at St. Mary of the Woods in Ohio is seeking a part-time Certified Medication Aide for 2:00pm–9:00pm shifts, 14 hours per pay period, every Tuesday. You will administer prescribed meds, monitor for side effects, and document care with accuracy while recording vitals as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Ohio.
• Experience as CNA/Nurse Aide or Medication Aide.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of electronic charting systems.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and transferring residents.
• Dependability and ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer prescribed medications, including oral medications and, when trained and authorized, subcutaneous insulin, in accordance with physician orders and community policy
• Assist residents with medication administration while monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions
• Accurately document medication administration, including PRN use, effectiveness, and any follow-up interventions
• Obtain and record vital signs as needed to assess resident response to medications
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records under appropriate supervision
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, supporting overall care needs
• Foster a respectful, compassionate environment for residents, families, and team members

Available Shifts:

2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. I 14 hours per pay period, every Tuesday

Anticipated Pay:

$18.00-$22.00/hour *Same Day Pay Available*

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Ohio
• Previous experience as a CNA, Nurse Aide, or Medication Aide
• Resident-centered approach with awareness and sensitivity to individual needs and abilities
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Working knowledge of electronic charting systems and basic computer applications
• Dependability and ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and transferring residents
• Professional maturity and composure in a fast-paced care environment

Preferred

• Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred
