Job summary

Gallup Nursing & Rehabilitation in Gallup, NM is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team. The CMA works under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to ensure timely and accurate med passes and to maintain high-quality resident care.

Requirements include English communication, current CMA certification, and CNA certificate; previous patient care experience is preferred. We offer full-time hours and a supportive team focused on compassionate, Spirit of Excellence

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
