Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England, Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT, seeks a Certified Medical Technologist to join a mission-driven laboratory team. The role focuses on developing and sustaining programs to bring testing closer to the patient, improving turnaround times and regulatory compliance in a busy hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science, ASCP/CLS/NCA certification, 3–5 years of clinical lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
• ASCP, CLS or NCA certification required.
• 3–5 years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with LIS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate programs to bring testing closer to the patient.
• Evaluate and implement POC testing devices and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide POC training and maintain competency records.
• Monitor QC/QA programs and participate in site surveys.
• Communicate with administrators, colleagues and physicians.
