Job summary

Appleton City Manor LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Technician (CMT) to provide compassionate care in our long-term care setting in Missouri. The role involves administering medications, assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring health status, and collaborating with the nursing team to support individualized care plans.

This position offers a rotating 2pm-10pm schedule and an immediate opening.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri CMT license required or in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Strong communication and compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident care areas.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and their families.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff members as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid Certified Medical Technician (CMT) license in the state of Missouri.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in healthcare is a plus.
