Prisma Health seeks a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support diagnostic testing and ensure accuracy across waived, moderate, and high complexity procedures at the MCCW-Lab facility. The role emphasizes proficiency in SOPs, specimen handling, and quality control, with opportunities to mentor staff and participate in quality initiatives.

Minimum requirements include an Associate degree in laboratory science or medical technology and MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology.
• MLT (ASCP) or MLT(ASCP)cm or MLT (AMT) certification.
• In lieu of education/experience, CLA or 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training with DD214 qualifies with certificate.
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of lab and office equipment; proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, databases.
• Data entry and mathematical skills; ability to convert data.

Responsabilités

• Performs or supports laboratory testing to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensures proficiency, accuracy, and proper reporting of test results across waived, moderate, and high complexity procedures.
• Operates laboratory data systems and reviews pending work per SOPs.
• Maintains specimen retention and proper identification of patient, specimen, and results.
• Participates in quality control and quality management; monitors inventory and resources.
• Operates and maintains instrumentation; troubleshoots issues with guidance as needed.
• Complies with Prisma Health policies; maintains safe, clean work environment and participates in safety initiatives.
• Trains students and staff; participates in interviews and team assignments.
