Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent written and oral English and Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills required.
• The ability to provide written translation from Spanish/Portuguese to English and vice versa required.
• Experience as a medical interpreter preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral interpreting between Spanish/Portuguese speaking patients and healthcare staff.
• Provide written translation from Spanish/Portuguese to English and vice versa.
• Identify cultural differences and advise staff on their impact on patient care.
• Work rotating shifts to accommodate peak demands.
