Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., located in Shippensburg, PA, is hiring a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. You will handle chart assembly, coding, and abstracting discharged records to support patient care.

The role requires certified coder credentials (RHIT or CPC) or equivalent, a high school diploma, and experience in medical records; on-site work with benefits and career development opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Registered Health Information technician certification or Certified Professional Coder certification or equivalent is REQUIRED.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, with one year of coding and/or medical records experience preferred.
• Experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chart assembly, chart analysis, coding.
• Computer abstracting of all discharged patient medical records.
• Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly.
• Retrieving charts from the floor.
• Putting them together.
• Checking for missing signature.
• Handling loose filings.
