Job summary

Alteva RCM is seeking a Professional Coder to review clinical documentation and assign diagnosis and CPT codes for professional services across specialties, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.

You will support clean claim submissions, maximize reimbursement, and contribute to revenue cycle health while maintaining coding accuracy and credential requirements. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of AHIMA or AAPC coding program with active credential (CPC/CCS).
• 3+ years of physician/professional services coding experience across specialties.
• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and Medicare/Medicaid policies.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and assign diagnosis and procedure codes per guidelines.
• Code tickets accurately and timely for clean claim submission and reimbursement.
• Research coding scenarios including payer edits and documentation questions.
• Meet daily productivity targets and maintain coding quality.
